The old was better

I have an old sample from this brand that is called Intention and it is nothing like this current one. The original was a "scent elixir" and had notes of pink pepper, rosebud and cherry (I saved the info card). The new Intention does not smell good to me, it smells like dust and is not pleasant to my nose at all. Why did they change it completely? it used to be a lovely spicy, feminine scent..
